Windsock? How many times has he changed his mind, or made adjustments or
ambiguous "clarifications" to earlier statements? He's acting like a
congenital ward-healer.

I don't think he's actually stupid though, Kathy. I mean he's not behaving
as though he's smart enough to deal with the thousands of people (and their
leaders/representatives) who are going to be busting their asses to pull his
strings as President. He's behaving much more like a follower than a
leader, and there are a lot of interests that would thrive on a President
like that... none of them good, AFAIC.

After all, Bush actually *is* stupid (as compared to real Presidential
material, I mean,) and just look at what letting *his* handlers run the
country has led to.

I agree & Kerry has talked about having a change of heart when it came to
Vietnam. Lets face it - it all comes down to the almighty sound bite. There
just isn't any place for in-depth interviews. :-(
At least Kerry would reach out to other nations. We are all on the same

Kerry also cares about the environment - which is very important. :-)

The love, admiration and pride of grandparents
overrides any of the mundane and silly things
their grandkids do. They're are not blinded;
however, they well understand that the current
activities of their grandchildren, who are
intelligent enough to be rebellious, are only
temporary conditions that will soon evaporate

When I was in high school during the mid - late '60s my best friend's older
brother and sister were part of a group that blockaded and overthrew the
Simon Fraser University administration in Vancouver and established a
temporary alternate students administration.

His brother became a a comptroller for a major international lumber company
based in Vancouver. His sister became a senior immigration adjudicator who
hears appeals of immigration rulings.

Perhaps it is somewhat like me being a shop steward in the public service

the federal public service. Shades of Joni Mitchell's Circle Game.

Vietnam vets slam Kerry

By RICHARD TOMKINS, UPI White House Correspondent

WASHINGTON, May 4 (UPI) -- Sen. John Kerry's accounts of his service in
Vietnam and his statements that he witnessed atrocities were attacked as
fabrications and political opportunism Tuesday by a group of Vietnam
veterans who served with him personally or in the units affiliated with
him during his short tour of duty in Southeast Asia.

The veterans, including some of Kerry's former commanders and shipmates,
have formed an organization called "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth" and
called on the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee to authorize
release of all his service records, including medical records.

"We feel it is very, very import that the American people get the actual
truth about that three or four months Kerry served in Vietnam since he
has made it a center piece of his biography," said John O'Neill, who
took charge of Kerry's boat and crew after Kerry left Vietnam.

"Second, we resent very deeply the false war crimes charges he made
coming back from Vietnam. ... We think that those have cast aspersion on
those living and dead.

"We think he knew he was lying when he made them. We think they are
unsupportable. We intend to bring the truth about that to the American
people.

Third, we believe that based on our experience with him, he is totally
unfit to be commander in chief."

Kerry, who commanded a river patrol boat, served about 4 months of a
one-year tour of duty in Vietnam and won the Silver Star and Bronze
Star. He requested and received reassignment to the United States after
receiving three Purple Hearts for combat wounds, allowed under Navy
regulations. The circumstances and merit of one of those awards has come
into question in the campaign against President George W. Bush, leading
to acrimonious mudslinging and a resurrection of the turmoil the
conflict inflicted on American society.

Following his return and then discharge from the Navy, Kerry became a
prominent anti-war activist and testified before Congress that he had
witnessed U.S. forces committing atrocities and war crimes.

"I do not believe John Kerry is fit to be commander in chief of the U.S.
armed forces," said retired Rear Adm. Roy Hoffmann, chairman of the
organization.

"This is not a political issue. It is a matter of honesty."

Hoffman said Kerry had recently telephoned him and spent 45 minutes
attempting to convince Hoffman of not proceeding with the formation of
the organization, which Democrats Tuesday attacked as a shill for Bush.

Hoffmann, who debated Kerry on television in 1971 over Vietnam
allegations, denied any ties to Bush or the Republican Party. The Swift
boat veterans held differing political and social views, he said. "There
is only one issue we all agree on, and that is the issue of John Kerry."

In a letter to Kerry signed by more than 200 Swift boats veterans, they
wrote, "It is our collective judgment that, upon your return from
Vietnam, you grossly and knowingly distorted the conduct of the American
soldiers, Marines, sailors and airmen of that war (including a betrayal
of many of us, without regard for the danger your actions caused us).

"Further, we believe that you have withheld and/or distorted material
facts as to your own conduct in this war.

"We believe you continue this conduct today, albeit by changing from an
anti-war to a 'war hero' status," the letter said.

The veterans Tuesday were vociferous in denying they had seen or had
participated in wartime atrocities and questioned that if Kerry had
indeed observed any, why he didn't report it as he was required to do.

One veteran, noting the allegations were again made in a book on Kerry's
war experiences, choked back tears as he related how his wife and
daughter had read about the alleged war crimes Kerry spoke about in
Douglas Brinkley's "Tour of Duty: John Kerry and the Vietnam War" and
asked him if he had committed them.

Spokesmen for the Kerry campaign were not immediately available for
comment Tuesday, but the Democratic National Committee put out a
statement attacking the public relations company used by the group as
having Republic Party connections. The veterans made no comment on the
allegations.

Kerry has admitted a poor choice of words in his testimony before
Congress in 1971 but says he served with honor in the war.

"We feel it is very, very import that the American people get the
actual truth about that three or four months Kerry served in Vietnam

O'Neill, who took charge of Kerry's boat and crew after Kerry left
Vietnam.
Convince me that if the following guy spoke against Kerry, people would be
perfectly justified in calling him a paid Republican hack:

Born San Diego, California, February 19, 1946; admitted to bar, 1974, Texas.
Education: United States Naval Academy (B.S., cum laude, 1967); University
of Texas (J.D., summa cum laude, 1973). Order of the Coif. Member,
Chancellors (Grand Chancellor, 1972-1973). Member, Texas Law Review,
1972-1973. Member, President's National Advisory Counsel on Supplemental
Services and Centers, 1973-1974. Member, Federal Regulation of Securities
Committee, Section of Corporation, Banking and Business Law, American Bar
Association, 1978-. Law Clerk to Justice William H. Rehnquist, U.S. Supreme
Court, 1974-1975.

Who is this party darling, you ask? Why, bless my soul, it's John O'Neill!

Ah, the irony...

In a series of memos, Nixon aide Colson, who later went to prison for his
role in the Watergate scandal, referred to the administration's efforts to
promote O'Neill and to challenge Kerry to debate him.

On June 15, 1971, Colson noted that Kerry first turned down a debate offer
with O'Neill and that he was "beginning to take a tremendous beating in the
press."

"Let's destroy this young demagogue before he becomes another Ralph Nader,"
Colson wrote about Kerry.

"We feel it is very, very import that the American people get the
actual truth about that three or four months Kerry served in Vietnam
since he has made it a center piece of his biography," said John
O'Neill, who took charge of Kerry's boat and crew after Kerry left
Vietnam.
Convince me that if the following guy spoke against Kerry, people would be
Born San Diego, California, February 19, 1946; admitted to bar, 1974, Texas.

Right on Michael, Just another republican hack. When I say
"Republican" I mean the republican party, big business, the religious
right and religious fanatics. They are one and the same. They lie
like hell, twist and distort the truth. Republicans IMHO are like
flies, they eat shit and bother people.
MOGG
That's putting a pretty fine point on it, dontcha think?

I mean... Dwight Eisenhower was a Republican, and he proved himself a true
patriot in may people's eyes by warning his nation of the dangers inherent
in the direct collusion of state and industry (the "Military/Industrial
Complex") in the business of war.

It isn't Republicans per-se who eat shit and bother people... it's
ideologues who think they've earned the right somehow to decide for everyone
else what they're to believe, how they're to behave, and whom they're to
support in the nation's endeavours.

There isn't a political party extant that doesn't have a few of those. :-(

I still have my Quickie GPX that I spent 7 years in. But it has small
casters in front. I would probably have to obtain an electric with larger
front casters. I never let that Quickie stop me. It's all in the attitude.
The boat ramp is about 400 ft from the house so there's always a place to
fish. Ha Ha! Man, I look at the photos of your area and it puts my area to
shame. I'm on a lake with the Au Sable river nearby. World renowned for
fishing and canoeing. Was hoping to canoe from the Alcona Dam to Lake Huron,
camping and fishing along the way. Alas I don't think they make a puff and
suck canoe. Hopefully the problem will be a disk pressing on the cord and
not the MS.

He's not an idiot, Rob... he's just behaving like one.

I think that sucks really huge, because although the USA might fare better a
bit under him in the first year or two, (provided the escalating and
increasingly rabid partisanship of the whole nation doesn't rip it apart,)
from all appearances, he's just as likely as Bush to be led astray by the
people behind his policymakers.

In other words, once again you have (at least realistically) a choice of two
evils, and this time it's a blend of feudalism and fascism spiffed up and
rebranded by neocons on the one hand, and repeated (or sustained) moral
panic brought on by narrow-minded objections to the permissiveness of
"immoral liberals" on the other.

I know I'd rather have a functional human society for a change, and I'd like
you to have one as well... wouldn't you?

Btw, I'm trying to arrange that dance but can't seem to find a private

I'm sure we *are* missing a lot of good stuff here cause of all the

it'll only get worse. And the "Anti-Americanism" will be in 9 out of every

And as far as that dance.. if you can't find a band.. perhaps we should

this just goes back to mary 's ''real'' husband and jesus's real father
joseph,,
no respect,, he got no statue,, or picture of him on a medallion,, hey
what
Post by bobD
about joseph,,, all about the woman only,, i dont see joseph up in the
stained glass windows of any churches????
****There is a statue of Joseph in my church. He is "Saint Joseph, husband
of Mary" and there are St. Joseph Medals... he is the "Foster father of
Jesus. He has a Feast day on March 19th and he is the Patron Saint of A
Happy Home, Carpenters and other workers. He is also the Patron Protector of

ok so i guess i was lookin in the wrong church for his pic!!!

So I think he gets his recognition.
but does he really??? i would love to see joseph do a talk show like
montell,,??? hear his side of the story how joseph really felt???? you know
about God the almighty,, and his wife,, the'' affair''.. she being the
''blessed virgin'' and his ''wife'',, , his son being the second commin of
god,, where was joseph when jesus got crucified,, was he a deadbeat father,,
???,, i mean jesus was only 32 when he died,, or was that Logan's Run???

it would make a good jerry springer show,, you know everyone takes their
tops off on that show,, and i still have no frikin IDEA WHY,, they take off
their tops,, during a family arguement??? -''you slept with my brother,, oh
ya?? look at my boobs everyone!!!!,, i still dont get it????
Post by Tee
I think my Catholic slip is showing! LOL
well my wife is catholic,, my mom was raised by nuns in catholic school till
she was 21ish,,, my kids are being raised catholic,,

that was the deal gettin married- i got rid of my tropical exotic pet
collection,, my wife would enter the house,, -and we raised any kids
catholic,, ,as long as i did not have to become catholic i cared not!!!

i did the catholic marraige cousre,, i argued about genesis and the bible
with the priest for 8 weeks!!! i think he wanted to have me Excorsized!!!
i told him i thought joseph got screwed,, hjis wife had another man/entities
baby,, she was a virgin,, they never consummated their marraige, and she
became preggers, the kid was not his child,, didnt they Behead women back
then for that?????

then got into his views on pot smoking,, he blew it there,, i made him read
Genesis 11 and genesis 29 again,, and explain it to me,, and then i
informed him that Cannabis indica/sativa is a seed/flower bearing
plant/herb,, god said it is good for us did he not???

then i asked him where in the bible it shgows us how to make poison,, or
ferment grapes into alcohol or poison,, as this is what alcohol is,, is does
not occur naturalluy,, and is infact a Tool of Satan i explained,, to him.

look how it destroys the churches family unit??? alcoholism,, yet he uses it
in his ''celebrations'' ''ceremonies,''

yup i had fun the first 10 minutes of my chat with him!!!!! the other 8
weeks were a blast,, as i had critiqued Genesis for my 3rd year pychology in
univercity,, i had traced back the beggining of time according to the old
testament's record to only 12 thousands years ago,,

and i then explained to the priest my knowledge of geology,, as i took that
also,, my study of rock dating / cave drawing s dated over 20 thousand years
old.

how the chinese have their religion over 2 thoiusand years older than
christianity,, and it is RECORDED too ,, and christianity seems very
similar but alot less -PURE compared to buhddism,,,

yup the priest just loved me,, and he seemed like a fruitcake too,

Rob
i was being totally serious with him,, trying to expose any ''holes'' in
his ''theory'' of god. i thought i did.

at first he wanted me to join the catholics,, and take their bible study
course,, after my 8 weeks with the ''married couple'' whose purpose was to
set an example of marraige for us,, well,, they were freaks,, besides the
fact they missed a session cause they got arrested breaking the law at
vancouvers abortion clinic,, infringing on others rights,, etc,,
then the one-on one with father ''pedophile'',, and i went over why priest
dont get married,, when God commands ALL of us to do so in the bible,, i
questioned their hatred of women?? how the catholic church treats them a
''chattal'' property of the ''man''

i discussed why in the catholic ''heirarchy'' every ''level'' is on one
step closer to god,, on pedastiles,, how if you draw the catholic heirarchy
it is a triangle or the shape of the satanic tower a bable,,,each ''man'' a
step closer to god,, thought of as more holier than the next,, worshipped
like the golden cows they are!!!!

how i thought it was quite satanic in disguise,, with all the money
grabbing,, how they pass around the collection continuously thru the
''service'' to shame those in public who do not ''give'' in fact it disgusts
me so much to find out those freaks,, print out ''envelopes'' in every
members name dated numbered named, for Each sunday mass, to sort of ''keep
track on YOU'' how convenient,., put it all in a puter program you know who
gives what ,, who are ''holiday'' catholics,, or those who go on xmas,
easter,, baptisms, etc,, not every sunday!!!!

how about a church that does not force you to give up cash multiple times
during a so called religiopus ceremony,, why all the money centrally
concerned,, why the prompting members to give up 10% of their money per
year??? oh ya to pay off pedophile court cases!!!!!!

i asked why does the Pope not live in a mud hut,, give up all his worldly
possessions, not eat from gold forks,, drink from gold cups,, drive in
luxury live in luxury,, i asked the priest if he saw the 10
commandmemnts,, with charlton heston!!! you know everyone worshipping golden
cow,,moses loses it,, and freaks on them!!!

i asked how come the bible only thinks life began 12 thousand years ago???
not 4.5 billion???

the pot issue was awesome,, he believed it was a tool of satan!!! and beer
comes from GOD grown on a weed naturally????

when i quoted God himself from genesis 11 first frikin page of the bible,,
not the new one,, the king james edition,, he was speechless,,

he was confused,, i asked him how can marijuana be considered a tool of
satan if it was ccreated by God,, surely the archangel Micheal could not
have created it,, it is a seed and flower producing plant/herb,, abd god
himslef says it is good!!!

i told him to show me where in the bible GOD shows man how to Distill
spirits, ferment( rot) grapes and make POISON???

and why does the catholics use Wine in their ceremonies??? which in my view
if you take into consideration how it is Formed, what it has done to
humans,, its effects on our bodies,, social issues,, alcohol is 1000x more a
tool of satan,, but you use it in your ceremonies,, instead of the ''blood
of christ''

i asked him how jesus would feel you using poison instead of blood and ,,
why the hell do you pretend to drink jesus's Blood every day????

vampirism???

well i went on and on,, every day ,, for every thing he brought up,, i would
have 50 biullion things to say/ask/ joke about,, be serious about.

i told him my conclusion to my critique of genesis,,

'' when man bit of the ''apple of knowledge'' he too then knew everything
god did,, and he became like god,,

so why worship ourselves then???

i also went into my theory on aliens,, why there are drawings on caves 20
thousand plus years old,, with men in space suits and spaceships???

why are there recorded visits on earth every 1500 years or so by aliens???

then i ask him about man theories during the time of christ up to discovery
that the earth was not flat,, the heaven did not revolve around the earth,,
we were not the center of life,,

the shining star was a bloody comet

moses opened up the sea??? what mushrooms and who picked them??

bush on fire talking to moses???

then this one??? how can we still have ANIMALS on earth,, if noah took only
2 of every animal,, and man i only took minor science courses,, i know if i
screw my sister,, and then my kids mate with each other,, we would raise a
society of 4 legged 3 headded humans!!!

so no way could only 2 animals of everything mate and continue on with an
animal population??? no way in hell??? they would all be born dead,, sick
etc,,

then i got deeper with him!!!!!

how many people were there in the garden of EDEN really??? they all Begat
each other,, and their kids beagt their kids etc,, then we are all kinda one
big incestuos world arent we then???? if we all come from what 4 people,, or
50,,, i mean maybe if there was 100,000 to start we would be able to pull
of a world ,, but how many actually started this life,, adam eve,, some
snake chick,, adam had an affair with,,,, and who else,,

to many holes i said,, close encounters of the 3rd kind makes more sense!!!

he agreed i should not go into the bible study classes with other catholic
wannabees,, maybe not even go in a church too,, i think i scared him,, or i
made him thiunk too much,,

the last thing i left him with,, is my reason why humans made religion,,
thats so we can repsond to stuff we just cant understand or explain,,

like - if you look up at night in the stars,, and picture your self flying
off like a rocket,, at 5 billion times the speed of light,, 180,000 miles
per second approx is the speed of light,,
so you blast off earth,, and you fly off into space,,

you will never ever ever stop ,, infinity cubed, ever,, it will go and go
and go,, and go on forever.

there is no way that with this huge - infinity, of life, that we humans are
the be all end all to life and that there is nothing out there with
intelligence other than us,, and that our ''miniscule little solar system;;
is the meaning of life and the only life there is.

since there is NO END to space,, and our tiny minds just cant comprehend
this,, travelling forever,, infinity,, out there in one direction!!!

that there is not alien life 50 billion trillion light years away that can
visit us,, over the last 1 million years and chart our growth,, like a
science project.

it cannot be disputed,, unless you can prove that i could stop at a wall in
outer space,, the end of the life!!!! but thats impossible,, a wall has
another side,

the very belief in GOD proves there is higher life forms . we just dont
know its shape and being man we say it is ''our image'',, or they said it
was ''mans image'' we think it looks like us??

there are infinity solar systems out there,, millions and billions that are
exactly like ours!!! in this endless continuum,, how can there not be,, it
never ends,, it goes on and on,, longer than that song at disney land!!!

the priest was baffled with my ideology here!!!!

as most are,, i baffle myself,, i only understand it if i am on good
mushroom trip,, but then you understand everything on shrooms

I always had problems with those who took those books to literally, but I am
a liberal (and proud of it).
You know USA was the forefront of liberalism, now they share their dislike
of it with Khomeini, Bin Laden, Chinese communist party ... .

i have even more fun with a) jehova witness protection programmers,,

they will let their kids die and notr let them have a blood transfusion
using plasma products that are fake blood substitutes,, therefore the act
they so Dread,, mixing their own blood with that of others,, , would not
take place,,,

i had their elder visiting me,, to discuss this after about 4 years he
visited with 5 other elders all beaming to let me know personally that they
had a change of heart in their doctrine/ideology/ convenient?,, that now
allowed them to accept plasma substitutes for sick kids,,

eventhough here in Canada,, if your kids need a blood transfusion,, to live
and they are in the hospital,, they will get one,, no matter what church you
are sybscribed to at the time,

then i asked thewm their opinion on disabled people and those who have
diseases,,,

well this explained it to me,, they are freaks!!!

i was trold by the elders of the kingdom hall here in aldergrove,, that
people with diseases are Evil,, they got what they deserve, god is punishing
them,, we should not support them with medicine or income assistance,, let
them all die,,

right out of their mouths!!!!!! goodbye!!!

then the mormons!!!! their bible was dug up in the forest plus all the
commandments,, of which there are now 50 new ones,, thou shalt marry as many
ho's as you want,, , thou shalt marry as many 12 and 14 year olds as you
can,raise as your kids???? what???

we have an entire city in Bc that ius full of these freaks,, marrying their
friends kids,, and lots of em,, they have 20 wives??? who are these women,,
then i saw a show on them,, some of them have escaped!!!! the sex slave
rings,, !!! how sick is this???

bust all the p[ot smokers,, but let some sick old fuck marry 20 women all
under 16 years old???? what???? with their parents blessings???

sure having lots of ladies to choose from to sleep with each night,, or
whenever sounds cooll,,, in some sick porn movie??? but in real life,, they
all get jealous,, specially his first wife,, weirdos!!!!!

then the weirdos who all wear Nike shoes,, black track pants and kill
themselves hoping to catch the next comet???

i love the Head-Bonkers,, i mean has anyone here gomne to see Benny Hinn to
get punched in the face and be healed of MS????????

thats a cool religion,, punch people in the face and cure them of horrible
diseases,, all the while push people to send money in!!!

hey has he tried gettin all the idiots watching at home,, to come up real
close to the tv,, actually put yer face on the tv and then he runs up to the
camera lens and gives it a real Smack!!!!!! try to heal the masses by TV,,,
then have them send in money if they can now all walk,, MS, polio cured
etc,,

thats allowed on tv??? isnt it illegal??? fraud?? , or is it that if your
that stupid,, you deserve to lose your 50 grand life savings to a snake???

pray tv,, also send in your money tv,, we need your cash,,

here my religion at this moment is the :

NHL

Tampa lightning vs Philly phlyers

Calgary flamers vs Sanhoser sharks

i am bettin on tampa/calgary in the final!!!!!

these were the local jehovas,, who previously went to court to let their
kids die,, instead of gving them blood transfusions, etc,, they lost.

they think we have diseases because god is punishing us,, they are very
negative,, again this is from the locals here!!!

the ''christians'' missed giving us a marraige session because they were in
jail for breaking the law, trying to impede the entrance to an abortion
clinic,, which by law in canada has every right to be there,, but they did
not,, have the right to break and infringe upon others rights,, thus they
got hauled off to jail,, crying like babies,,

regardless of your views on abortion,, a persons individual rights
superceeds anyone elses self righteous ideologies,, you have no right over
someone elses body,, plain and simple,,
if these folks are so concerned as to go to the lengths of ''murder'' why
are they not in thrid world countries helpin the ''millions of sick
children''

instead they lives in their convenience world, eat macdonalds and cause kids
in other countries to die for their oil, food, products clothes, shoes,

selective morality!!!! i am anti abortion but wear fur coats,, i love old
growth trees but have to wipe my butt,, ??, kill the salmon runs,, build a
subdivision here !!!! drive an audi or beamer,, but still go and kill
someone over their posoti0on on abortion,,

selective morality!!!! just like slective religion,, what ever fits best,,
letting me drive my ferrari,, eat fast food, wear fur coats,, feel good
about goin to church,, and causing the destruction of the planet along the
way.

only people living close to a REAL religion anywhewre on earth are the
buddist monks who give up ''everything they own,, ' and devote their lives
to their religious teachings,, study faith, honesty, etc etc.

they ask for noithing,, in return but to be allowed to pray.

no other religion i have ever seen comes close,, infact every single one of
them are filled with Satan and the evils of mankind, and our destructive
pollution,, rampant with greed !!!!

i challenge anyone to find one,, in north america that people attend that is
close to the holiness of buddist monks,,one religion???

bobD

i beleive reliegion is how we keep society from going insane and turning
savage,, keeps people in check,, kind of a ''wait till your father gets
home'' policy,, after you die,, if your were bad you go to hell,, well
everyone i know has been bad and at least we will have lots of friends
there,,

I remember watching the famous movie "inherit the wind" about the monkey
trial

I remember the character played by Spencer Tracy (I think?) and a couple
things he said in the movie

-- when asked by the prosecutor representing the religious/creationist view,
he was asked if he ever read the Bible? His response was" every god damn
night!"

-- when questioning someone testify representing the creationist's argument,
he summed up by saying "the difference is that you believe man was created
by God. I believe that god was created by man"

If you look at all the religions and gods worshiped by man over the years it
would appear that most civilizations felt the necessity to have something to
explain the unexplainable

I think of myself somewhere between an agnostic and an atheist. I read
somewhere that George W. Bush was asked whether or not an atheist could be a
U.S. citizen and his response was that they should not be as their
Constitution says the United States is one nation under god. Scary! I am
not sure that he actually said that, but if he did, it certainly supports
the argument for separation between church and state.

I will leave that up to the Americans to worry about as we will probably
have an election in Canada in the next couple months and I already have
enough to worry about.

Hi Larry,
That is a great line; "the difference is that you believe man was created
by God. I believe that god was created by man"
It is so true - isn't it.
Frontline aired a program last week called "The Jesus Factor" about Bush.
The site can be found here:
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/jesus/
He is scary - especially when you consider all the power he has.....

Hey now! We would love to have BC as a State. You guys would have more
freedoms than you do now, and you could be masters of your own destiny. Our
fed gov wouldnt be able to tell BC squat when it comes to laws. You guys
could create the perfect internal government. It would be a cool
experiment.

what about grenades?? on the tv show tremors,, the crazy dude has lots of
cool weapons!!!!

i would like to change the name of BC also if we join the USA,, to hmmm,
Upper Kali !!!!!

course gas will be cheap!!!!

price of gas here today is bullllshittt!!!! get this Rob!!!!

on Van isl. 1.01 per litre 4.56 litres to a gallon 4.50 a gallon,,!!!
its almost worth getting stripp searched to go across the border for
gas/chocolate milk today!!!!!! but not worth gettin my new vehicle seats
sliced open,, tires sliced open,, etc etc,,

the movie /actors unions would stop freaking out,, as now they would work up
here in Vancouver no probs,,

the lumber folks down south would stop complaining cause they would get our
long straight non warped lumber cheaper,,

fresh water pipelines to cali

gas piplines from alaska thru bc to usa,, hydro electric power,,

BC would make a killing in money,, we have alot of natural renewable
resources!!! if manged properly!!!

the Annex BC party is one of our new clients!!!! we just went thru the legal
work to set them up and register them as a political party, for tax purposes
etc.

they really do exist here,, people are very pissed off at the way BC/west
is treated by the east- toronto/ottawa/quebec,,

FYI there is really no reason for ANYONE that lives here in BC to VOTE no
reason at all to VOTE

know why????

because the federal election is over and decided by the time Ontario has
finished at 8pm their local time,, my dad phones me from toronto to tell me
who won the election !!!

none of the votes out west will make any difference in swaying the federal
elction,, we dont have any clout/voice /or representation

we dont have the electoral seats!!! we could all vote 99% one party and
would not matter in the final count it is over when Ontario closes its
polling stations at 8pm!!!!!!!

thats why BC is pissed off at Canadian political system,, we have no
representation in Canada politics/parliament,, and Alberta feels the Same,,
they Feed the rest of the country,, with their Vast oil supply,, they are a
rich province that supports other poor provinces but like Bc has no say or
seats in federal government to make it count!!!!

All the power is in Ontario and Quebec,, but all the money for the country
is not generated from there!!!!

so we talk about separating just like quebec does!!!! to us its not aobut
our frikin language though,,

I think of myself somewhere between an agnostic and an atheist. I read
somewhere that George W. Bush was asked whether or not an atheist could be a
U.S. citizen and his response was that they should not be as their
Constitution says the United States is one nation under god. Scary! I am
not sure that he actually said that, but if he did, it certainly supports
the argument for separation between church and state.
I will leave that up to the Americans to worry about as we will probably
have an election in Canada in the next couple months and I already have
enough to worry about.
Being Canadian, I'm sure it doesn't keep you awake at night, but hey -
just for the sake of debate:

IF GWB actually said that, Constitutionalists would have nailed him. Two
things: One, the writers of the Constitution and Fathers of our Country
were not Christian (in the majority any way). Most of these men were
Deists. Two - the phrase "separation of church and state" does NOT
appear anywhere in our Constitution, Bill of Rights or Amendments to
same.

The Declaration of Independence refers to the "laws of Nature and
Nature's God", and that we are "endowed by our Creator" with certain
rights. The Constitution does not say "One Nation under God" anywhere.
That is in the pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and that phrase was
added during the McCarthy hearings about 1950.

I haven't done one scrap of research about this bush statement, but facts
and laws are not always bush's strong points. He frequently thinks wishes
and opinions ARE laws, imho.
