Amantadine & Avonex

Please tell me about common side affects from amantadine and avonex.
I'm starting both in a few weeks.
Also are there auto injectors for avonex or must I use a needle?
I cringe at needles...

I just came across this post and I know you probably never go back to this site but if you do I want you to know that I have used the Biojector since day one with my avonex and it is now about 12 years. I have had excellent results with this. With a needle you get the medication to the muscle but it will pool in the area of delivery and then leech into the muscle. The biojector disperses the medication immediatley into the muscle and it is absorbed quickly and evenly. I would highly recommend this way to do the IM. I have had not had an exasberation since I have started my Avonex therapy. They have a specific syringe that goes with the Avonex. Please let me know if you get this

,I have been using the Biojector for my Avonex IM injections for over 14 years. They have a specifc syringe that is used for IM injections, versus their SUB CU injections. I hate needles and knew that I was not gonna inject myself with a needle. I found out about the Biojector online and have not looked back. I never did have to use a needle. Hope this helps....TJB
